‘I hope it’s liberating to learn that science is a human enterprise’

Physicist and science historian Jeroen van Dongen (IoP) conducts research into the history and philosophy of gravitation. Together with Rens Bod (ILLC) and Julia Kursell (Faculty of Humanities), he is co-director of the UvA-wide Vossius Centre for History of Humanities and Sciences. He teaches science history and philosophy in the Bachelor’s programmes in Chemistry and Physics & Astronomy, and the honours module The Science and Life of Albert Einstein.
